The story of one summer in the life a girl at the
start of Israel's history as a country. This girl is Aviya--10 years
old, the daughter of a Holocaust survivor and former partisan--a women
on the edge of sanity. As the story goes on, her mother's situation
worsens, Aviya continues to dream of her father, whom she's never seen.
Her mother is institutionalized and Aviya is left alone--a girl who had
to grow up all at once--in one summer.
