Judith Spitzberg has a unique talent for devising imaginative techniques to integrate music with all facets of education and brings an impressive array of accomplishments to her practice. Judith publishes music curriculum using the arts to reinforce concepts in science, history and language arts which has been used by the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Department of Education and the Canton Public Schools. In 2004, she received the American Music Foundation Award for creative lesson plans which used dance, poetry, music and art to explore the music of Aaron Copland. Over the last 25 years, Judith has taught music and music education at many schools and museums throughout Greater Boston. She is currently the creative arts director at the MetroWest Jewish Day School in Massachusetts. She also runs graduate arts courses and professional development workshops to classrooms teachers and specialists at all educational levels. Judith received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Boston University's School for the Arts, and her Master's degree from Lesley University in Creative Arts in Education. |
